Professional Background & Experience

Kadijah most recently served within the executive office of a New York State government agency, where she contributed to the development and implementation of agency-wide  strategy, including the design and launch of a equity-centered organizational function and the establishment of the agency’s first office of its kind. Her work focused on supporting compliance and strengthening internal organizational culture and service delivery for the agency's constituents.

Prior to her work in New York State government, Kadijah spent nine years as a freelance independent consultant and strategist, working closely with emerging businesses, growing organizations, and well-established institutions across various industries. Many of these organizations were navigating structural and operational constraints while still being responsible for advancing critical work. In this context, she supported the design and implementation of governance structures, operational systems, and workforce strategies intentionally built to function within real-world limitations. She also provided strategic advisory centered on organizational development, helping leaders and teams move priorities forward while building organizational capacity where it did not previously exist. This work laid the foundation for the systems-oriented leadership she brings to her work today.

She also brings extensive experience across core Human Resources functions, including talent acquisition, recruitment and retention, onboarding, compensation, benefits, risk management, employee relations, and workforce planning. This background has deepened her understanding of how people, systems, and organizational design intersect to drive performance and culture.

Guiding Philosophy

Kadijah’s guiding philosophy centers on building systems that are structurally sound and deeply human. She believes effective strategy requires clarity and operational discipline, balanced with emotional intelligence and a genuine respect for the people who power the work. Her leadership reflects strategic precision, people-centered practices, and a bold, action-oriented approach that allows complex work to move forward with confidence and care.
